Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to every user of Crawl-Space Connect. Violations are grounds for warning, suspension, or termination, in addition to any other remedy available under the Terms.
1. Prohibited content
You may not upload, attach, or transmit through the Service:
- Content you do not own or do not have authorization to share.
- Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of a third party.
- Malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt the Service.
- Fraudulent records, fabricated readings, falsified correction evidence, or any content intended to deceive other users.
- Content depicting illegal activity.
- Content unrelated to the property record (the registry is not a general-purpose file storage service).
2. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Impersonate any person, including a property owner, property manager, contractor, or Crawl-Space Connect staff.
- Misrepresent your licensing, insurance, certification, or trade qualifications.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials.
- Evade or attempt to evade the permissioned-access controls.
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the Service without our prior written consent.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code.
- Use the Service to build a competing product.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or Crawl-Space Connect staff.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications.
- Edit, delete, or alter records contributed by another user. Disagreements are handled through counter-records, not deletions.
3. Trade partner-specific rules
Trade partners may not:
- Solicit homeowners outside the Service for work that was routed through the Service in a way that bypasses the platform's record continuity.
- Use the Service to harvest homeowner contact information for purposes other than the routed work.
- Submit correction records that misrepresent scope, materials, or completion status.
- Pressure record owners to grant permission scopes beyond what is necessary for the routed work.
4. Property manager-specific rules
Property managers must hold lawful authorization from each property owner (or be the lawful owner of the property) before adding that property to a managed portfolio. The owner's authority controls; revocation by the owner is immediate.
5. Enforcement
Crawl-Space Connect investigates reports of AUP violations. Outcomes range from warning, to feature restriction, to suspension, to termination. We may report illegal conduct to law enforcement. Repeat violations result in permanent termination. To report a violation, write to crawlspaceconnect@gmail.com.
